GO INTERNATIONAL GROUP FORGES PARTNERSHIP WITH DIGITAL YOUTH AWARD (DYA)
Partnership brings ‘Heroes of Newerth’ (HoN) Qualifiers to Malaysia, and Malaysian e-sports team to Sweden and the World Expo in China
Kuala Lumpur, 27 August 2010 – Go International Group Sdn Bhd has signed a deal with 3K Entertainment Pte Ltd to bring Digital Youth Award (DYA) Qualifier for digital sports category – international game title ‘Heroes of Newerth’ (HoN) to Malaysia.

Under the licensing agreement, Go International Group – the festival organiser of Indie Youth Fest (FEYST), which will be bringing an entourage of musicians to Shanghai this weekend to perform at the Malaysia Pavilion in Expo 2010 China; will organise an e-Sport tournament to qualify Team Malaysia to participate at Digital Youth Awards in the Sweden Pavilion in Shanghai from 14-18 October and DreamHack Winter in Sweden from 25-29 November.
Held in tandem with FEYST’s own Go International E-Sports Cup (GO.esc), the kick-off at popular cyber café FTZ Asia.net café in SS15 Subang Jaya this October offers amateur and pro-gamer PC-based tournaments. Official game titles will be announced in early September. Meanwhile, HoN enthusiasts can register online at www.goesc.net from this weekend 28th August 2010 for friendly practise matches. One victorious five person team will be sent on an all expenses paid youth cultural exchange program of Digital Youth Award (DYA) held in World Expo 2010 Shanghai in China from 15 – 18 October 2010 and compete at the DYA Global finals held from 25 – 28 November at Dreamhack Winter in Sweden. The total prize, comprising of game slots, flights, accommodation and transfers is worth approximately RM35,000.

The Digital Youth Award (DYA) Program at the World Expo 2010 Shanghai is a unique project created to promote and strengthen youth cultural exchange, friendship and education via various forms of digital entertainment. Indie Youth Fest goes on World Tour
w00t ... we're celebrating digital culture and all things indie once more! Indie Youth Fest is organised together with Digital Delirium Xpo, Go International E-Sports Cup and Doppelganger Open Mic. The 3rd Independent Youth Festival (FEYST) will head off on a world tour series to Shanghai's China World Expo. An entourage comprising of filmmakers and musicians (singer songwriters & band) will visit China for the first time. The artistes will perform at Malaysia Pavillion on 30 & 31 August 2010 in celebration of the 53rd Merdeka.
What is Indie Youth Fest?
It's a celebration of indie + digital lifestyle. A
festival which gathers indie musicians, singer songwriters, poets, beatboxers, bloggers, pro-gamers,
technopreneurs, filmmakers. From 1-10 October 2010, the festival will feature workshops, gigs, music performances, a world open mic, bazaar, film screenings and international video game competitions.
Here is where pro-gamers,
casual gamers, games developers, singer songwriters, indie bands,
beatboxers, filmmakers, bloggers, entrepreneurs are invited to polish
their skills and get ready to represent Malaysia at festivals around the
world.
Since 2008, Indie Youth Fest has sent 25 youth to

Malaysia Fest in Sydney Australia to DREAMHACK in Jonkoping Sweden and recently ELETRONIC SPORTS WORLD CUP in Paris, France.

The hunt is on for the country’s best electronic sports players for FIFA10 and DOTA following Malaysia's success in 2008 where Team Kingsurf aced in DOTA and emerged as Silver Medallists.
Kuala Lumpur, 3 June 2010 – There is another kind of soccer fever hitting town this weekend on 5 & 6 June 2010 at the Concourse of Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Soccer video game - FIFA10 fever!

Professional soccer video game (FIFA10 © Electronic Arts) enthusiasts are invited to compete at the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) 2010 Malaysia Qualifiers for a spot to represent the nation at the ESWC Grand Finals in France.
ESWC 2010 Malaysia licensee and tournament organiser Go International Group is offering one Champion FIFA10 player an all-expenses paid flight, hotel plus autoberth trip valued at USD3,000 to the 7th global grand finals held in Paris, Disneyland from 30 June – 4 July 2010.

In addition, strategy game (DotA © Blizzard) teams will battle it out at FTZ Cyber Café in Subang SS15 during the same weekend. In 2008, the Malaysian flag was raised high as Team Kingsurf returned home with the Silver Medal for strategy game, Defense of the Ancients (DotA) in San Jose, California at the 6th ESWC. The team also made history as the first team to have met with Malaysia's then Prime Minister.
The prestigious e-sports competition returns after a year’s hiatus and Malaysians get a chance to defend the country’s reputation against 32 participating countries after Team Kingsurf’s impressive success. This year, Team Malaysia will include one FIFA 10 player, offering the player an opportunity of a lifetime to compete against hundreds of other hopefuls from around the world.
The ESWC 2010 Malaysia Qualifiers will also mark the kick-start of the 3rd annual FEYST10 - Indie Youth Fest Concert // Digital Delirium Xpo // Go International E-Sports Cup.
National Director of ESWC 2010 Malaysia and Managing Director of Go International Group, Jasmine Low, says, “We support Malaysian pro-gamers to achieve new heights. Each year, our youth gain exposure from these overseas competitions. They gain a sense of pride and achievement when they compete amongst the best gamers from around the world.
